Are you an empathetic, resilient, and dedicated support worker looking to make a genuine difference? We are seeking a compassionate Mental Health Care Worker to provide high-quality, trauma-informed care for a client residing in Kallangur.

Shift Availability

We are looking to fill the following initial roster, with the potential to transition into an ongoing Monday-to-Friday role for the right candidate:

- Days: Thursdays and Fridays

- Split Shifts:

- Morning: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Evening: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

About the Role

In this role, you will provide critical emotional and practical support to a client with a history of complex trauma and sexual abuse. This position requires a high level of emotional intelligence, strong boundaries, and a deep understanding of mental health support.

Please Note: This is a strictly smoke-free setting (no smoking permitted at all). The client also has a beloved pet dog, so you must be comfortable working around animals.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing safe, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed mental health support.

- Assisting with daily routines and community access during shift hours.





- Building a trusting, consistent, and empowering relationship with the client.

- Transporting the client to appointments or community activities as required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

- Experience: Proven experience in mental health support, complex trauma, or a similar field.

- Licence: Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.

- Transport: Reliable, insured personal vehicle.

- Qualifications: Relevant certificates in Mental Health, Community Services, or Individual Support are highly regarded.

- Attributes: Patient, resilient, reliable, and an excellent communicator.
