Job Summary:

Due to the client’s specific requirements, a preferably Malayali-speaking female support worker is required. This position involves working closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and goals while promoting their dignity and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Personal Care:

- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.

- Support mobility and physical activities following individual care plans.

2. Emotional and Social Support:

- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster positive relationships.

- Encourage social interactions and participation in community activities.

3. Health and Safety:

- Monitor clients’ health and well-being, reporting any changes to the relevant healthcare professionals.

- Ensure a protected and clean living environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.

4. Skill Development:

- Assist clients in developing daily living skills and achieving personal goals.

- Implement therapeutic and recreational activities that promote skill development and confidence.

5. Transportation:

- Transportation services for individuals with disabilities ensure safe and accessible transport to essential locations, such as medical appointments, schools, and community activities.

6. Documentation:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, progress, and any incidents as required by organizational policies.

- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to care planning and evaluation.

7. Collaboration:

- Work collaboratively with other support staff, healthcare professionals, and family members to provide comprehensive care.

- Advocate for clients' needs and preferences in various settings.

What You'll Need





- Previous experience in a similar role or healthcare, social work, or related fields is preferred.

- Overseas nurses or Student nurses

- Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care, Community Services, or relevant qualifications or in progress.

-Victorian Driver's license mandatory

-Own a reliable, registered and insured car.

- Basic first aid and CPR certification.

- NDIS screening check.

- Valid National police check.

- Certificate in Manual Handling

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Patience, empathy, and a caring nature.

- Due to the client’s specific requirements, a preferably Malayali-speaking female support worker is required.

Working Conditions:

- Flexible working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

- ongoing shifts minimum 20-24 hours in a week it also depends on your perfomrance and rapport with client.

- Must be mature within age more than 30 years to have critically thinking and act smartly

- Must be able to deal and handle the client complex behaviour.

- Compliance with organisational policies and procedures regarding confidentiality and professional conduct.
