Masala Bite is looking for a hands-on Restaurant Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team and ensure a smooth, high-quality dining experience for every guest. You will coordinate service, support and develop staff, and help keep day-to-day operations running efficiently.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff during service, allocating tasks and stations;
- Oversee the quality and timeliness of food and beverage service and guest satisfaction;
- Train, roster support and mentor waiting and service staff;
- Handle guest bookings, enquiries and complaints professionally and promptly;
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling and end-of-shift reconciliation;
- Monitor stock of front-of-house supplies and liaise with kitchen and management; and
- Ensure compliance with responsible service, food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.
Skills and experience required
- Relevant experience in a hospitality supervisory or team-leader role (a relevant qualification is well regarded);
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and coordinate a front-of-house team;
- Robust customer service, communication and problem-solving skills;
- Sound understanding of restaurant operations, cash handling and rostering support;
- Knowledge of responsible service of alcohol, food safety and WHS practices;
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis; and
- Working rights in Australia (or eligibility to be sponsored).
