What’s the role?

As an Executive Manager, Practice Enablement you will define what good product ownership looks like at Westpac and grow the workforce to meet it. You'll be owning the product ownership standards, playbooks and quality bar, together with the capability framework, career pathways and skills taxonomy.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Owns product ownership standards, playbooks, reference patterns and the quality bar.
- Owns the Practice's contribution to the Westpac Delivery Lifecycle (WDLC) from a product ownership perspective.
- Owns the governance model, risk-informed deviation decisions and standard tooling for product ownership.
- Engages Risk, Legal and Compliance early so controls are embedded by design, not applied retrospectively.
- Runs the standards review cadence; retires, refreshes and adds standards based on evidence.
- Owns the capability maturity map, career pathways and skills framework.
- Owns training and learning pathways, the coaching approach and development goals guidance.
- Curates product ownership job architecture (with People, L&D; and Job Architecture partners).
- Partners with People and L&D; so capability pathways develop Practitioners to the defined standard.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role you should be a proven people leader with strong strategic thinking and business acumen.

Other skills and experience required include:

- Ability to use data, digital and AI to improve operational efficiency
- Proven Product Owner experience, including ownership of product vision, roadmap, backlog prioritisation and delivery of business outcomes




- Change management experience on an end-to-end basis
- Capability Framework and skills taxonomy design
- Execution excellence & project management
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to process, interpret and report data
- Experience with financial management reporting and risk reporting
