Are you an experienced electrician from the UK or Ireland looking to get your foot in the door while working towards your Australian electrical licence?

GMS Solutions Group is looking for motivated Trade Assistants to join our growing commercial team.
You'll work alongside experienced electricians on a wide variety of commercial projects while gaining valuable Australian industry experience. For the right person, this role can lead to a long-term career with opportunities to progress as your qualifications are recognised.
About the Role
This is far more than a typical Trade Assistant position.
You'll be involved in:
- Commercial electrical installations
- Cable tray, conduit and cable installations
- Assisting with switchboard installations
- Commercial fit-outs and refurbishments
- Fault finding assistance
- Dry fire systems
- CCTV, access control and security installations
- Site setup, commissioning and testing assistance
Every day is different, and you'll work across schools, healthcare, retail, offices and commercial developments throughout Greater Melbourne.
Who We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Electrical experience gained in the UK or Ireland
- Commercial construction experience
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Pride in producing quality work
- Good communication skills
- A White Card (or willingness to obtain one)
- Driver's Licence preferred
