Restoration Technician – Immediate Start Available

We are hiring!

A fast-growing and highly reputable water damage restoration company based in Cairns, servicing all of Far North Queensland, is expanding its team.

We specialise in water damage restoration, carpet cleaning, fire and smoke remediation, and mould remediation. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an additional team member to join us as soon as possible.

No previous experience is required. We provide full, paid on-the-job training. We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated, hands-on, and willing to learn.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role where you will assist our lead technicians with a variety of restoration and cleaning services. Once fully trained, there will be opportunities to work independently and continue progressing within the business.

The position is casual, averaging 38+ hours per week, with long-term full-time potential for the right person.

This role would suit someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing a job properly, and is looking for a stable, long-term career opportunity.

Duties May Include:

- Carpet, upholstery, and tile cleaning
- Assisting senior technicians onsite
- Water damage restoration
- Fire and smoke damage restoration
- Mould remediation
- Loading and unloading equipment
- Removing floor coverings, including carpet, vinyl, and laminate
- Cleaning, maintaining, and organising equipment
- Following clear instructions and workplace procedures
- Using common sense and taking pride in your work

We are looking for someone who is:

- Honest and able to follow explicit instructions
- Motivated and willing to learn
- Physically capable of hands-on work
- Available for weekday work
- Available for occasional weekend or rare night work when required
- Able to travel to and from our Gordonvale workshop
- Looking for a long-term opportunity, not short-term work

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- A current driver’s licence
- A clean driving history
- Reliable transport to and from our Gordonvale workshop
- A solid work ethic
- A positive attitude
- A willingness to learn new skills

Experience

No experience is required.

Full paid on-the-job training will be provided.

Previous experience in cleaning, restoration, trades, labouring, or other hands-on work would be beneficial but is not essential.
