Summary

Our client is seeking to add a Civil Engineering Draftsperson to its residential building and construction business based in Guildford, New South Wales. Ozi Homes Pty Ltd supports the planning and delivery of residential construction projects and requires a capable draftsperson to prepare accurate civil engineering drawings, technical plans and supporting documentation across construction, site development and project coordination activities.

The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Preparing detailed civil engineering drawings and technical plans for construction and infrastructure projects.
- Producing site layouts, drainage plans and structural drafting documentation using CAD software.
- Assisting engineers with drafting support across residential and commercial building developments.
- Reviewing engineering sketches and converting concepts into accurate technical construction drawings.
- Preparing plans for stormwater, sewerage and civil infrastructure construction works.
- Interpreting engineering instructions and applying drafting procedures to project documentation requirements.
- Coordinating drawing revisions based on engineering feedback and construction site requirements.
- Maintaining accurate drawing registers, technical records and drafting version control procedures.
- Liaising with engineers, project managers and contractors regarding drafting updates and specifications.
- Ensuring engineering drawings comply with Australian standards, regulations and contract requirements.
- Preparing sketches, charts and tabulated information supporting engineering and construction activities.
- Conducting quantity calculations and assisting with material estimation for civil construction projects.




- Supporting construction teams with technical drafting information during project delivery stages.
- Inspecting completed drafting work to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance requirements.
- Assisting with project coordination and resolving drafting discrepancies during construction activities.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

- Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification in Civil Engineering Drafting, Engineering Design or closely related technical discipline.
- Minimum 12 months experience preparing civil engineering drawings using industry-standard CAD drafting software within construction environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of Australian construction standards, engineering documentation requirements and relevant regulatory compliance obligations.
- Ability to interpret technical engineering information and prepare accurate construction and infrastructure drafting documentation independently.
- Experience supporting residential and commercial construction projects with high levels of drafting accuracy and technical detail.
- Well-developed communication skills when liaising with engineers, contractors, project managers and external construction stakeholders professionally.
- Solid organisational abilities managing multiple drafting priorities while maintaining documentation accuracy and project delivery deadlines consistently.
- Practical knowledge of drainage, sewerage, infrastructure and site development drafting within Australian construction project environments.
