About The Specialist Dental Unit

The Specialist Dental Unit provides care to medically compromised patients and emergency care for inpatients and the Emergency Department. In addition, a service is provided to cleft palate patients as well as head and neck oncology patients.





About the role

Dental Students anticipating graduating in 2026 who want to take the next step in their career are wanted here at Monash Health for our position of Hospital Dental Officer.

The Hospital Dental Officer will be supported by the Dental Registrar and Specialists in the fields of Orthodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine, Endodontics,, Prosthodontics, Paediatrics and Special Needs. This position is full time and based at Monash Medical Centre Clayton. Participation in after hours on call and travel across sites is required. This position is a first year position (PGY1). Those seeking PGY2 and above please apply to the Dental Registrar position.

About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

Mandatory requirements of the role:
Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications

All candidates will require Australian working rights

Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
