Powerhouse Museum is located at the intersection of arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is the custodian of more than half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia. We are undertaking a landmark $1.3 billion infrastructure renewal program, led by the creation of Powerhouse Parramatta; expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill; the heritage revitalisation of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo; and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory.

About the role
The HR Operations Partner provides various HR and payroll support services aligned with Powerhouse activities.
The role leverages extensive process knowledge to support the team's work program and facilitate business operations delivery related to the entire employee lifecycle.
About you
You are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with solid experience managing the employee lifecycle, payroll enquiries, leave administration, and HR systems. You confidently communicate with stakeholders, interpret awards and compliance requirements, maintain accurate employee data, and independently resolve issues with a practical, solutions-focused approach. You have strong SAP experience, with Workday experience highly regarded.
Ideal candidates will have NSW Government experience, demonstrate sound judgement, and be recognised as someone who gets the job done—a hands-on contributor with a strong work ethic and a focus on delivering results.
