Full Stack Developer (Front-End Focused) – Fin Crime

Location: Melbourne (Hybrid)

Contract: 6 Months

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with a strong front-end focus to join a high-profile Financial Crime (Fin Crime) team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of critical initiatives within a fast-paced, team-oriented, and technology-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern front-end development, with solid full-stack capabilities across Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud technologies. You will work closely with product teams, UX specialists, business stakeholders, engineers, and architects to design and deliver scalable, customer-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications with a strong emphasis on front-end development.
- Build modern, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Develop reusable UI components and contribute to scalable front-end architecture.
- Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs to support application functionality and business requirements.
- Contribute to back-end development activities using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
- Develop secure and scalable customer-facing applications aligned with engineering standards and best practices.
- Work with AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices to support continuous delivery.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, business stakeholders, engineers, testers, and architects to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions,



and engineering improvement initiatives.
- Support testing and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Lead technical initiatives, mentor developers, and promote software engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong commercial experience with React and modern front-end development practices (approximately 70% of the role).
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS with experience building responsive web applications.
- Solid full-stack development experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs (approximately 30% of the role).
- Experience designing scalable applications and developing reusable UI components.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and application development lifecycle.
- Ability to work effectively within agile delivery environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and supporting developer capability uplift.

Nice to Have

- Previous experience working within Financial Crime, Banking, Financial Services, or regulated environments.
- Experience with QE/Test Automation tools and frameworks.
- Exposure to AI/LLM-enabled applications, intelligent automation, or AI-assisted development practices.
- Experience working on customer-facing digital platforms or large-scale enterprise applications.
