Total Asbestos & Demolition is looking for experienced Excavator Operators and Plant Operators for current and future work across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
We primarily use excavators for demolition work, so previous experience operating excavators is highly preferred.
This role may suit operators with experience in demolition, house demolition, civil construction, earthworks, site clearing, trenching, loading trucks, cut/fill works, final trim, or general plant operation.
Duties may include:
- Operating excavators on demolition and earthworks sites
- Assisting with house demolition and site clearing
- Loading trucks and moving materials
- Trenching, cut/fill and site preparation works
- Operating other machinery where suitable
- Following site safety procedures and instructions
- Working around asbestos-related or demolition environments where required
- Supporting site clean-up and general works when needed
Experience we are looking for:
- Excavator operating experience
- Demolition or civil construction experience preferred
- Experience with 3T–30T excavators highly regarded
- Skid steer / Bobcat, loader, roller or compactor experience highly regarded
- GPS / final trim experience highly regarded
- Ability to work safely and follow instructions
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work across Brisbane / SEQ
Requirements:
- White Card
- Excavator ticket or proven excavator operating experience
- Driver licence and reliable transport
- Own PPE
- Ability to work early starts
- Willingness to travel across Brisbane / SEQ
- Right to work in Australia
Highly regarded but not essential:
- Demolition experience
- Asbestos removal or asbestos awareness experience
- HR / HC / MC licence
- Skid steer / Bobcat ticket
- Loader, roller or compactor tickets
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- First Aid / CPR
- ABN and insurance if applying as a subcontractor
