We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team at York Junction, Sydney 2000. Position: Chef (Hospitality & Tourism) Type: Full time Salary: $80,000–$85,000 per year plus super Location: York Junction, Sydney NSW 2000

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook dishes across the menu, ensuring consistent flavour, quality, and presentation.
- Manage kitchen operations including inventory, staff supervision, and quality control.
- Develop new recipes and menus in collaboration with restaurant management to continuously improve and diversify offerings.
- Prepare, cook and serve food in accordance with menus, ensuring a high level of quality and presentation at all times according to agreed standards.
- Coordinate all food purchasing, budgeting and planning operations with other staff members.




- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Create new menus with restaurant managers.
- Train and supervise new kitchen members.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a chef in a similar hospitality setting, with strong all-round culinary skills.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for creating cutting-edge, high-quality menu items and providing outstanding customer service.
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
