About the Role

CaSE is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to provide hands-on delivery leadership across major infrastructure projects. This role is suited to a senior engineer who can lead packages, manage interfaces, support site teams and resolve technical issues during delivery.

You will work closely with contractor delivery teams, project managers, supervisors, subcontractors and client-side stakeholders to drive programme, quality, safety and commercial outcomes. The role requires someone who can think practically, lead from the front and support junior engineers while still being close to the technical and construction detail.

This position can be based in Sydney or Brisbane, with travel to regional projects required.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead engineering delivery across complex civil, structural or infrastructure packages.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership to Project Engineers, Site Engineers and site teams.
- Drive constructability reviews, methodology development and sequencing solutions.
- Manage design, construction, subcontractor and stakeholder interfaces.
- Coordinate utilities, services, authorities, access constraints and live-network interfaces.
- Monitor programme, cost, quality, safety and risk across assigned scopes.
- Review and manage RFIs, NCRs,



technical queries, ITPs and project documentation.
- Support procurement, subcontractor selection, scope reviews and commercial discussions.
- Mentor junior engineers and support capability development within the project team.
- Resolve technical and constructability issues during delivery.
- Support client and contractor reporting, progress reviews and project governance.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Skilled accreditation or progression towards chartership advantageous.
- Significant experience delivering major civil infrastructure or construction projects.
- Strong contractor-side background across roads, rail, bridges, structures, utilities, energy, transmission, water or airports.
- Proven ability to lead engineering packages and manage delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing, risk and programme.
- Experience managing subcontractors, commercial inputs and project documentation.
- Confident working with clients, contractors, supervisors and design teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and practical construction judgement.
- Willingness to travel and work regionally as required.
- Ability to mentor engineers and contribute to a strong site delivery culture.
