MEAT PROCESS WORKER Cheltenham, VIC | Casual with Permanent Opportunity| Immediate Start

Join our client - one of Australia’s leading producers of authentic South African-style biltong and meat products.

We’re looking for reliable, hands-on team members to join our production team in Cheltenham. If you enjoy physical work, thrive in a team environment, and want stable weekday hours with long-term potential, this could be the perfect fit.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you’ll assist in the preparation and processing of premium meat products while maintaining robust food safety and workplace safety standards.

Your day-to-day duties may include:

- Preparing, trimming, slicing, cutting, and marinating beef
- Hanging biltong, mini-sticks, and stokkies for drying
- Producing and packing boerewors (sausages)
- Vacuum sealing and product packaging
- Assisting with slicing wet and dry products
- Offloading dried products
- General cleaning and waste management
- Working in a cool-room production environment
- Manual handling and lifting up to 15–20kg





No previous experience in meat processing? No worries - full training will be provided. We’re mainly looking for people with a great attitude, willingness to learn, and robust work ethic.

- Are reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Are comfortable working around raw meat products
- Can work efficiently toward daily production targets
- Are comfortable standing for extended periods
- Are willing to follow food safety and hygiene procedures
- Are available for an immediate start

Previous experience in food production, meat processing, or knife handling is highly regarded but not essential.

Working Hours & Pay

- Monday to Friday
- 9:00am – 4:30pm
- Up to 35 hours per week
- No shift work or overtime
- PPE provided
