Administration/Property Officer - Logistics Centre

About the role:

The Logistics Team are responsible for the logistical tracking and distribution of accountable equipment, servicing members at the Melbourne West Police Complex. As the successful applicant you will be responsible for the administration of logistics associated with the maintenance scheduling of Victoria Police accountable equipment.

Your duties will include:

- Administering and being accountable for the supply of Station Logistics and Equipment.
- Managing property storage, destruction, and audits in accordance with policy.
- Provide general office support duties including the operation and maintenance of office equipment.
- Prepare routine correspondence on a range of administrative matters and attend to follow-up procedures as required with a high attention to detail.
- Attend to telephone and counter enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

- Experience in working with computers and various programs to perform a range of administrative tasks including records management, data entry and word processing tasks.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise work with minimal supervision.
- A strong commitment and a demonstrated record in meeting customer needs.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients both orally and in writing.

Requirements and relevant information:

- One full time 1.0 FTE (76 hours per fortnight) ongoing position available.
- You will be required to work Rostered Hours, Shift work and some Public Holidays and Weekends. Shift allowances will be paid in accordance with the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or Visa.




- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
- This position is located at the Melbourne West Police Complex, 313 Spencer Street, Docklands. While position has a nominated usual place of work, the position may be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
