In this role, you'll:
- Play a key leadership role in a first-of-its-kind project to strengthen security and emergency preparedness at NSW’s busiest transport interchanges.
- Manage a team developing operational plans that enable Transport to prepare for and respond to security incidents at high-profile, high-density locations.
- Lead engagement with diverse stakeholders to produce and implement policies that protect passengers, frontline staff and critical infrastructure from security threats.

About you
- Experienced policy professional with relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Capable of simultaneously delivering multiple work programs in a context of limited resources and tight deadlines.
- Adaptable, highly driven and able to work collaboratively in a complex stakeholder environment, with the willingness to work outside regular hours and travel on occasion.
This is a temporary opportunity from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2028, based in Sydney (Elizabeth Street) with flexible hybrid working arrangements available.
