About the role
An prospect has arisen in our Sydney office for a Law Graduate or Lawyer to join a leading civil litigation practice, in the Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines team on a permanent full-time basis, working closely with a highly regarded Special Counsel.
This practice has a strong focus on tortious civil litigation , alongside broader exposure to tortious, professional indemnity , and complex litigated disputes. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting and managing litigated matters in superior courts across jurisdictions, including drafting court documents and evidence; court appearances; briefing and instructing junior and senior counsel with the opportunity to develop your technical skills in a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
You will work on a variety of interesting and often complex litigated matters , benefiting from structured mentorship, while building your confidence in litigation and strategic thinking.
About you
To be considered, you must be a Law Graduate or Lawyer with up to 4 years’ post-admission experience, with a demonstrated interest in civil litigation.
You will be someone who is eager to develop your technical capability, enjoys working on detailed and analytically complex matters, and is motivated to build your career. You will have a strong record of academic achievement, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail.
A proactive approach, strong organisational skills and a client-focused mindset will be key to your success in this role, along with a willingness to learn and take ownership of your work as your experience grows.
