Chef – Full time

Curry Pirates Belmont, operated by VAZ N FERNS PTY LTD, is seeking an experienced and qualified Chef for a full-time position.

The restaurant specialises in authentic Indian cuisine, including traditional North and South Indian dishes, tandoori specialties, curries, biryanis, naan breads, vegetarian and seafood dishes, Indo-Chinese favourites, desserts and beverages.

The successful applicant may also be required to work at Curry Thieves Dianella, located at 47A/366 Grand Promenade, Dianella WA 6059.

Qualifications and experience

- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications
- At least two years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of authentic Indian cuisine and commercial kitchen operations

Duties and responsibilities

- Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, seafood, vegetarian dishes and Indo-Chinese specialties
- Prepare and marinate meat, poultry,



seafood and vegetables using traditional Indian herbs, spices and recipes
- Operate and manage the tandoor oven for tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, naan, roti and other tandoori products
- Plan and coordinate food preparation during busy service periods
- Monitor food quality, presentation, portion control and consistency
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and food safety
- Assist with menu development and improvements to recipes and cooking methods
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, minimise food waste and ensure correct storage and stock rotation

- Salary: $81,499 per annum plus superannuation

- Work across the Belmont and Dianella locations as required
