Male Disability Support Worker – Ringwood East

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Male Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing support to a male client living in a Supported Residential Service (SRS) in Ringwood East.

The client has an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and enjoys working towards his goals. He perks from encouragement, routine, and support with planning, organisation, and community access.

The role includes supporting the client with community access, including providing transport to appointments and the pharmacy to collect his legally prescribed medication. The support worker is not responsible for administering or managing medication.

At times, the client may require additional reassurance, redirection, or support if he becomes verbally unsettled or changes his mind. There is no history of physical aggression. We are looking for someone who can remain calm, maintain professional boundaries,



and use effective communication and de-escalation strategies.

About You

- Experience supporting people with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), mental health, or disability
- Calm, patient, and person-centered approach
- Confident supporting clients in the community
- Reliable with strong communication skills

Essential Requirements

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Driver's License and reliable, insured vehicle
- Previous disability support experience preferred

- Monday & Wednesday
- 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Ongoing part-time
- Location: Ringwood East
- Pay: From $40.00 per hour
