Front of House Supervisor – Busy Local Bakery (Mon–Fri, 7am–3pm) Henrys Bakery Cafe

We’re a fast-paced, community-loved bakery looking for an experienced Front of House Supervisor to lead our team. This is a casual role (in employment status and rate of pay) with the potential to move permanent.

The role requires a consistent commitment to rostered hours. The position typically works Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm, with flexibility to start earlier (from 6:00am with overtime rates) when required to support business needs.

Subject to operational requirements, performance, and ongoing business needs, there may be an opportunity for consideration of a permanent position in the future

The Role

As our FOH Supervisor, you’ll be the go-to person on shift—keeping service flowing, supporting the team, and making sure every customer has a great experience.

You’ll:

- Lead and support the front-of-house team day-to-day
- Step in to cover shifts when required, including earlier starts
- Set the standard for customer service,



communication, and presentation
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues confidently
- Oversee food display, cleanliness, and overall shop presentation
- Manage POS and cash handling
- Support training and development of team members
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
- Communicate with the Retail Bakery Manager on daily operations

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience in a supervisory or senior FOH role (bakery/cafe/hospitality)
- Solid leadership skills with a hands-on approach
- Excellent customer service and communication
- Ability to stay calm, organised, and efficient in a fast-paced setting
- Confident with POS systems and cash handling
- High standards when it comes to cleanliness, presentation, and food safety
- Reliable, proactive, and team-focused
- Flexibility to start earlier (from 6:00am) when required
