Join Horizon Power's Sustainability team and play a key role in delivering environmentally responsible energy projects across regional Western Australia.

As an Environment Specialist (on a 24 month contract), you will provide expert advice on environmental approvals, compliance and contamination management while partnering with project teams to identify risks, influence outcomes and support successful project delivery.

This is an opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure and operational projects where your expertise will help balance environmental stewardship with the delivery of critical energy initiatives.

How you will contribute

- Provide environmental due diligence, impact assessments and compliance advice for projects and operations.
- Support environmental approvals, permits and regulatory submissions.
- Identify and manage environmental and contamination risks across project activities.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews across Horizon Power assets.
- Support environmental investigations, remediation activities and incident management.
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver practical solutions that enable compliant project delivery.

What You’ll Bring
You are an experienced environmental professional with expertise in contamination and environmental approvals.

- Experience managing environmental approvals and compliance requirements across infrastructure, utilities, energy or major projects.




- Strong knowledge of Commonwealth and EPA environmental approval pathways.
- Experience in environmental risk management, contamination assessment and compliance monitoring.
- The confidence to influence stakeholders, provide constructive challenge and uphold environmental standards.
- A proactive, self-driven approach with strong stakeholder engagement and problem solving skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
