We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join our dynamic team, specialising in roads, pavements, and asphalt projects. If you have a strong background in civil engineering, with previous experience working on airport runways, and a keen eye for detail, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee a civil project, focusing on pavement & asphalt works.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including contractors and clients, to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Conduct quality assurance (QA) inspections, maintaining high standards of workmanship throughout all stages of the project.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and design specifications.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and develop solutions to ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure all work is compliant with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Coordinate with various teams to optimise resources and efficiency in delivering projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience working on roads, pavements, and asphalt projects, with a strong preference for candidates with airport runway experience.
- Solid QA/QC experience, with attention to detail and ability to enforce project standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience managing both on-site teams and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety protocols.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with asphalt paving machinery and materials.
- Familiarity with airport-specific regulations and runway construction best practices.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent is a plus.
