The position

We are seeking Support Workers to join our On-Call staff list, and to join our supportive and growing team to work with participants within our organisation across Melbourne. We have participants in various locations around the Melbourne area, and in the outer suburbs of Melbourne (Northern, Western, Eastern, and Southern Melbourne).

As part of our On-Call team, you will assist with cancellations, last-minute or otherwise, for our participants. The hours of work available, as well as the locations of the shifts, are dependent on the cancellations, but you will always be in our books.

Qualifications & experience

- Demonstrated knowledge of Disability and Mental Health
- Experience in the Support Worker or Disability Field
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Victorian Driver's license and vehicle
- NDIS worker Screening Check
- Police Check
- Minimum 2 years experience

- Excellent customer service skills and genuine care and attention to our participants
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Have passion for what you do
- Adaptable availability and availability across holiday periods

Tasks & responsibilities

- Work with people who have varying needs with a variety of disabilities
- Flexible work arrangements around peoples’ individual needs, including shift times/days, personal care tasks, and manual handling
- You may need to undergo additional training such has manual handling, medication training, etc.
- Be available for last-minute calls to fill in cancelled shifts

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $33.00 – $42.00 per hour

- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Required)
- National Police Certificate (Preferred)
- Driver Licence (Required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
