Golden Century is an iconic Sydney Chinese restaurant now operating within the prestigious Crown Sydney precinct. We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage and optimise procurement strategies, supplier performance and purchasing systems to support our high-volume restaurant operations within the Crown Sydney operating environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support restaurant operations.
- Analyse procurement requirements, purchasing trends and inventory data to optimise purchasing decisions.
- Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to achieve quality, pricing and service objectives.
- Coordinate procurement activities through Crown Sydney's procurement systems and internal approval processes.
- Monitor supplier performance, pricing trends, product availability and contract compliance.
- Prepare purchasing forecasts and recommend inventory levels based on operational demand.
- Collaborate with executive chefs, finance and operations teams to ensure uninterrupted supply of food, beverages and operational equipment.
- Conduct procurement cost analyses and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenditure.
- Develop and maintain procurement policies, supplier databases and purchasing records.
- Monitor procurement risks including supply shortages,



delivery delays and quality issues.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with food safety, workplace health and safety, and organisational policies.
- Prepare procurement reports and provide recommendations to senior management.

Skills and Experience

Applicants should possess:

- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in commerce, business, finance, supply chain, procurement or a related discipline.
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or commercial operations, preferably within hospitality, food service or retail.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Experience evaluating supplier performance and procurement costs.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Solid Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
