Qualified Baker – Bakers Delight North Rocks

- Ability to be available to work a flexible roster, which will include shifts from 4 AM to 12:00PM.
- This is a full-time multiple position, offering approximately 38 hours per week.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and decorating a wide range of pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts while ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, bake, and finish a wide range of pastries, cakes, breads, desserts, and other bakery products in accordance with approved recipes, standards, and baking techniques.
- Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and combine ingredients to ensure consistent product quality, flavor, and presentation.
- Safely operate, clean, and maintain bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, molds, trays, and related tools to support efficient production.
- Supervise and monitor the baking process to ensure finished products meet required standards for texture, taste, appearance, and overall quality.
- Decorate, garnish, and present baked products in an attractive and creative manner consistent with the business’s brand and customer expectations.
- Assist in creating and trialing new recipes, seasonal products, and menu items to improve and expand the bakery’s product range.
- Maintain a clean, organized,



and hygienic bakery workspace while complying with food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety requirements, including HACCP principles where applicable.
- Check and manage stock levels, assist with ordering ingredients and supplies, and reduce wastage through proper planning and storage practices.
- Work closely with chefs, bakers, and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow, timely production, and smooth day-to-day bakery operations.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to junior staff, assistants, or apprentices in baking methods, food handling, and workplace procedures.
- Ensure baked goods are correctly stored, labeled, displayed, and rotated to preserve freshness, quality, and food safety.
- Respond to customer feedback and assist in improving recipes, presentation, and product offerings to meet customer preferences.

To be considered for this role you need to be able to meet the following selection criteria.

- Complete duties as directed by your manager/supervisor
- Abide by company policies and procedures at all times
- Ability to be available for work across the 7 days of the week, which may include evening work and some public holidays (starting times can be as early as 4 am)
- Work in a fast-paced team setting and communicate with customers and staff.
- Proven experience as a Baker, or similar role.
- Certificate III n Baking or equivalent qualification (preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
