Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Automotive Electrician to join our workshop team in Pinkenba, Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and installing electrical and electronic systems across the company's fleet of commercial vehicles and transport equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
· Diagnose faults in electrical and electronic systems using specialised diagnostic equipment and testing instruments.
· Test, repair and replace electrical components including sensors, switches, relays, control modules and associated wiring.
· Install and maintain electronic accessories such as GPS tracking systems, reversing cameras, telematics, communication equipment and safety devices.
· Ensure all electrical repairs and installations comply with manufacturer specifications, workplace safety requirements and relevant Australian standards.
· Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair requirements with workshop supervisors and maintenance personnel.
· Inspect electrical systems to identify defects and perform preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime.
· Install, repair and maintain vehicle wiring,



lighting systems, alternators, starter motors, batteries and charging systems.
· Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, circuit schematics and technical service information to complete repairs accurately.

Skills and Experience
· AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV in Automotive Electrical Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
· Minimum of one (1) year of relevant full-time work experience as an Automotive Electrician.
· Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, electronic diagnostics and fault-finding techniques.
· Experience working on commercial vehicles, vans or light and heavy transport fleets will be highly regarded.
· Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
· Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic equipment, electrical testing instruments and workshop tools.
· Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and quality workmanship.
