Athenry Plant Services Pty Ltd ( APS) is a plant maintenance company based in Perth. Our company specialises in servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy earthmoving equipment. As a mobile repair mechanic you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing cutting edge plant and equipment. This is a full time position (38 hours per week).Due to the nature of the position you may be required to work regional.
We are looking for a suitably qualified Diesel Mechanic with at least a AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on the job traiing, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO SKILL LEVEL 3) We will accept applications from applicants who have at least 3 years experience. The person must be willing to commit to the company on a long term basis and agree to trvel to regional area at short notice. We are committed to employing local workers. ideally wewould like to recruit an Australian or an Eligible New Zeland drainer for this position. The successful candidate will be required to work at least 38hours per week (full time) You will work at various sites around Perth as instructed by management. you will report to our yard in Dundas Road High Wycombe 6057. You may be required to work overtime during the week and occasional Saturdays and Sundays.
Key Responsibilities:
o To maintain and repair all heavy vehicles , and equipment and related mechanical components and to carry out work to a high quality according with Procedures.
o Preventative maintenance and mechanical servicing of all heavy vehicles plant an equipment
o Dismantling and removing engine assemblies and checking parts
o Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical component, and referring to service manuals as needed
o Performing scheduled maintenance services such as oils changes, lubrications and engine tune- ups to achieve smoother running of vehicles
o Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
o Diagnose and repair mobile plant drives
o Service hydraulic systems
o Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
o Detecting and diagnosing faults in heavy vehicles, plant and equipment. and construct brick or concrete pits as part of the installation process.
o Test and repair basic and electronic circuits
o Test. charge and replace batteries
o Diagnose and repair charging systems
Competencies Required:
Use and Maintain workshop tools and equipment
Excellent communication skills - to liaise and communicate with team
members
Use and maintain measuring equipment in an automotive workplace
Communicate effetely in an automotive workshop
Carry out diagnostic procedures
