Eastgate on the Range Motel is a 4-star, 39-room accommodation property with a licensed restaurant located in East Toowoomba, Queensland. We provide quality accommodation, food and beverage services, and function facilities to both corporate and leisure guests.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Motel Manager to oversee the full operations of a busy accommodation and hospitality business. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing all aspects of motel operations including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage services, compliance, staffing, and financial performance.

The Motel Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the property, maintaining high guest satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with all relevant hospitality, safety, and licensing regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Direct and oversee reservation, reception, room service, and housekeeping operations
- Manage day-to-day operations of a 39-room, 4-star motel and licensed restaurant
- Lead and supervise a team of up to 15 staff across housekeeping and food & beverage departments
- Plan and supervise bar, restaurant, breakfast service, and guest dining operations
- Oversee recruitment, training, rostering, and performance management of staff
- Manage payroll, financial reporting, account reconciliation, and cost control to ensure profitability
- Coordinate occupancy, reservations, and guest service standards to maximise revenue and satisfaction




- Assess and review customer satisfaction and implement service improvements
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, WHS, fire safety, occupational health and safety and other relevant regulations
- Oversee purchasing, stock control, supplier coordination, and operational budgeting
- Supervise security arrangements, as well as property, garden, and maintenance coordination
- Liaise with contractors and coordinate maintenance to meet operational requirements
- Provide guests with local tourism information and assist with transport or tour arrangements when required

Essential Requirements

- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in hotel or motel management or similar hospitality leadership role
- Strong leadership experience managing hospitality teams
- Current Queensland RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification
- Food Safety Supervisor certification (QLD)
- Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, compliance, and guest services
- Experience in financial management, payroll, and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple operational areas independently
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work full time onsite and live in provided accommodation
