Primary Objective
Coordinate and support the delivery of client-focused projects and authoritative records and information management advice
within the Information Services function, driving continuous improvement outcomes.

Context Statement
Information Services provides best practice advice and records management services to NTG client agencies. Structured into
several work teams, a wide range of services are delivered including training development and delivery, courier and mail services,
records management, help desk services, records appraisal, sentencing and disposal, digital policy,



Freedom of Information and
Privacy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Lead, manage and deliver strategic and operational information management initiatives and projects across the NTG

environment, including record migrations, system integrations and service improvement activities, ensuring outcomes are
achieved within agreed timeframes, resources and stakeholder expectations.

2. Provide authoritative records and information management advice to agencies and stakeholders, and contribute to the
development of procedures, business processes and the delivery of complex and strategic information management initiatives.

3. Deliver continuous improvement through business analysis, process review and change
implementation, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and service delivery.

4. Provide leadership and strategic direction in the management of information within the NTG recordkeeping environment,
contributing to effective solutions across systems, processes and policy frameworks.

5. Contribute to capability and knowledge development within the records and information management function by actively
sharing insights, supporting problem-solving, and adapting to a dynamic and evolving service workplace.

Selection Criteria
Essential
1. Proven ability to plan,



manage and deliver multiple complex projects concurrently, balancing competing priorities and deadlines

to achieve high-quality outcomes aligned with organisational objectives.
2. Demonstrated experience working within complex business or regulatory environments, with the ability to quickly understand

and apply legislation, policies, systems and operational practices, supported by sound knowledge of contemporary records and
information management principles and practices.

3. Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess programs, systems and
processes, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and develop practical solutions to complex issues.

4. Well-developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to provide
clear, expert and authoritative advice and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

5. High-level ability to lead and mentor a team, work collaboratively and professionally, support capability development,
and maintain confidentiality, discretion and integrity.

6. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude, which emulates DCDD values of commitment to service, innovation, ethical practice,
accountability, impartiality, diversity and respect.

Desirable
1. Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Recordkeeping and membership of a relevant professional association.
