Over the years Woodlands has grown to become one of the largest employers in the Beerwah area with a current workforce of approximately 190 employees.

As the major employer in the area, Woodlands’ staff are loyal with one employee recently retiring after 56 years of employment and a large number of staff celebrating over 15 years service with us.

Due to the size and complexity of the business, Woodlands employs a range of staff to work across various aspects of the business from working on poultry farm to shedding and equipment and transport the produce and equipment.

For Bio-Security purposes, our staff are unable to own, care or keep any avian species at home (i.e. birds, chickens, ducks etc) whilst employed at Woodlands.

Welder / Fabricator

We are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our workshop team. In this hands-on role, you’ll work across a broad range of farm equipment, machinery, buildings and facilities, with occasional site work on our farms. Every day is different, offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution.

Key Responsibilities

- Welding, fabrication, and general repairs on farm equipment, machinery,



buildings and facilities
- Supporting maintenance activities across the business
- Occasional site-based work as required on farms around the Sunshine Coast
- Working safely and effectively within a small team environment

Skills & Experience

To be successful, you will have:

- Proven experience across all aspects of welding and fabrication
- A current forklift ticket (essential)
- Experience supervising or leading a small team (highly regarded)
- Robust attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent time-management and a strong work ethic
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport

Additional Requirements

- Due to biosecurity regulations, applicants must not keep any bird species at home (e.g., budgies, chickens, ducks).
