About the Role

Are you an experienced Mechanic tired of the long city commute? We are seeking a skilled Forklift / Material Handling Technician to join our team in Melbourne’s Outer East.

In this role, no two days are the same. You will be diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide variety of forklifts (gas, electric, diesel) and specialized lifting equipment—both in our workshop and out in the field servicing local clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine servicing, safety inspections, and breakdown repairs on various forklifts and lifting equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, LPG, and electrical faults efficiently.




- Maintain clear service reports and communicate professionally with other staff and supervisors
- Ensure all work meets strict safety standards and industry guidelines.

What We’re Looking For

- Trade Qualified: Heavy Vehicle, Agricultural, Plant, or Automotive Mechanic (Cert III minimum).
- Solid Experience: Proven background working on forklifts, elevated work platforms (EWPs), or heavy machinery. Car mechanics will also be considered - if you are ready for something new,
- Key Skills:
- Strong hydraulics and auto-electrical diagnostic skills.
- LPG or Heavy Diesel experience is a major advantage.
- Valid Driver’s License: Unrestricted manual driver's license required.
- Self-Motivated: Able to work independently in the field and collaborate well in the workshop.
