Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Mexican-inspired dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Assist with menu planning and the development of new menu items.
- Ensure all food is prepared, presented, and stored in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and kitchen presentation.
- Manage stock rotation and assist with ordering kitchen supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure efficient service.
- Follow Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
- At least two years of relevant cooking experience.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
