This role offers flexible based on teacher availability & training requirements as per availability

Key Duties

- Provide exceptional customer service at all times.

- Provide a child safe environment

- Be professionally presented at all times.

- Teaching/coaching swim techniques, strokes and water safety to students

- Implementation of water schools core skills and development skills during lessons for each require swim level

- Check and mark lesson attendance

- Effective and friendly communication with students, parents and carers

- Setup lessons with correct equipment in designated teaching areas

- Pack up equipment at end of lesson in a neat and tidy fashion

- Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the Facilities Emergency Action Plan

- Comply with facility safety, training, and document control.

- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety, and for the health and safety of others.

- Setting up in a timely manner to start lessons at designated time.

- Ensure a clean, neat appearance at all times.

- Communicate effectively with all staff and members.

- Building and maintaining strong team cohesion

- Comply with all policies and procedures.

- Understanding coaching and competitive swimming techniques





- Maintain accreditations and continued professional development

- Ensure you achieve a CLEAN, FRIENDLY, SAFE & ORGANISED workplace.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Swim Coach

- foundation, talent, elite, SCTA membership

Instructor must have:
Swim Teacher Instructor may have:

- Swim Teacher Infants and Toddlers to instruct Infant Aquatic levels Swim Teacher All Abilities

- WWCC - Paid for all employees aged 18 years and over

- RLSSA Pool Lifeguard

- Cert III Community/Sport/Aquatics Recreation

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

- Good integrity and work ethic

- Strong problem solving skills of complex issue

Onboarding

- Employee Handbook -Employment & General Ops

- Allara Training

- Operations Manual (per site)

- Child Protected Training

- Aquatics

On-boarding must be completed before any work can start at a facility
INHOUSE TRAINING

- Employee site induction and training

- Swim Instructors -Exam

- Stadium Induction/Training ( if applicable)

- Rock Climbing ( if applicable)

Remuneration

- Level 3/ 3a rate of pay as stated in the Fitness award

- Superannuation Guarantee
