Position Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized Marketing and Retail Assistant to join the friendly team at Fountains Galore.

This role is ideal for either a recent marketing or advertising graduate or an experienced professional with a background in digital marketing and eCommerce. As a growing small business, we value fresh perspectives and creative ideas to help us expand.

This position is well-suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where daily responsibilities balance between marketing initiatives and retail operations.

Responsibilities

1. Marketing

- Content Creation: Design advertising and promotional materials for social media, Google Ads, and email campaigns using tools such as Canva, the Adobe Creative Suite, and Meta platforms.
- Campaign Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and develop multi-channel campaigns spanning social media, email, our website, and search engines.
- Data Analysis: Analyze marketing performance data to assess strategy effectiveness and optimize SEO approaches.
- Product Listings: Manage and optimize eCommerce product listings across our website and Facebook Marketplace.

2. Retail Assistant

- In-Store Customer Service: Deliver enthusiastic and professional service to walk-in customers. (Comprehensive product training will be provided).
- Communication:



Handle customer inquiries via phone and email—primarily providing order updates and checking product availability—escalating complex issues to management as needed.
- Order Processing: Accurately enter order details into our MYOB AccountRight software. (Full training will be provided).

Additional Skills:

- Heavy Lifting: We occasionally deal with a lot of products that require heavy lifting, such as concrete statues . You are physically fit enough to lift over 20 kg, that is an additional skill worth mentioning.

About You

- Experience: Previous experience in a similar retail or marketing role.
- Expertise: Strong understanding of marketing technologies, digital best practices, and social media applications.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities, coupled with a keen eye for detail.
- Mindset: Highly motivated, driven, and a collaborative team player.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant social media platforms.
- Education: Degree-qualified in Marketing or a related field.

Schedule & Availability

- Hours: 2 to 3 days per week (flexible days).
- Shift Times: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (matching our standard business hours).

Pay: $27.50 – $30.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Keilor East VIC 3033: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

- Point of Sale (POS) software: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (Preferred)
