Bupa Willoughby is a up-to-date care home set in a lush, leafy suburb on the Lower North Shore of Sydney. You’ll be close to the local community with neighbouring; school, church, parks, Chatswood shopping precinct, local shops and transport links nearby. It consists of 85 beds, with a variety of care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

About the Role

As a Cook at one of our carehomes you will provide well-presented and nutritious meals in a home like setting. Your passion for food along with your person-first approach will make a real difference to the life of our residents.

Duties

- Plan and prepare well balanced and nutritious meals for our residents
- Liaise with residents, families, and the care team to ensure residents’ dietary, individual and cultural needs are met
- Support the efficient functioning of kitchen and catering services
- Comply withall infection control and food safety procedures
- Perform administrative duties related to the kitchen operation such as stock taking, and food quality assessment

Skills and Experience

- Previousexperience in the preparation and delivery of meals within a similar environment




- Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to solve problems independently
