HARD BAKKA is currently seeking to employ full time, a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER experienced in STEEL.

Qualifications & experience:

- Bachelor of engineering
- Bachelor of Project Management or similar
- Proven experience in applying Australian Standards related to the welding, fabrication, erection and others.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a project management role in the Australian steel industry
- Proven experience in preparing OHS, quality documentation for fabrication and erection including, e.g., ITPs, SWMS, and lift methodologies.
- Coordinate welding procedures, welder qualification, hold-points, NDT inspections and similar quality processes.
- Excellent reporting skills to enable timely reporting to management and client.
- Proficient in executing contractual obligations and technical requirements
- Demonstrated experience in using Aconex and Xero
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies such as MS Projects
- Advanced Excel applications
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Must have attention to detail and excellent English skills
- Has experience with the workflow processes of companies like UGL, CPB, Joh Holland, Civmec and similar.

Tasks & responsibilities

- Lead and oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
- Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the client, engineers, QA teams, and management, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Identify and mitigate risks and variations,



proactively addressing challenges to keep projects on track.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence in project delivery.
- Manage procurement activites, planning timeline with suppliers and internal team, to achieve deliverables on time
- Using management software incl. Aconex, Xero, MS Projects
- Reporting on Variations, RFIs, EOT, Progress Claims in a timely manner
- Managing the quality control documentation for fabrication and erection scopes
- Assisting the quality procedure by working closely with the QA team and the Welding Coordinator
- Liaising with the Estimator to ensure proficiency in estimating
- Liaising with the Operations Manager to ensure efficiency of the fabrication process and workflow
