Job Overview – Sr Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, install, integrate and maintain complex network technologies and platforms with Telstra processes and systems to deliver products and services to customer business units for mobile network provisioning

- Translate customer (internal, external or regulatory) needs and requirements, using technical principles into reusable API based micro-services

- Work with Product Owners and Technical Product Owners to develop business and technology roadmaps

- Utilise on premise and cloud technologies to deploy and host applications

- Design and lead backend and micro-service development utilising frameworks such as Express/Node.js with Typescript support.

- Contribute to frontend development utilising Vue.js

- Set up and maintain CICD pipelines into development and production environments

- Utilising Agile ceremonies and practices, lead planning, design and estimation sessions.





- Integrate solutions by executing on security and operational requirements

Key Skillset

Essential

- Hands-on experience with Agile Tools (Jira, Confluence)

- Hands-on experience with front end development: JavaScript, Vue.js, React.js, Redux or other state management libraries, Webpack or other bundlers.

- Hands-on experience with back-end development: Node.js/Express with Typescript support

- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks: Mocha, Chai, Sinon

- Hands on experience with relational and document based databases such as: MongoDb, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, SQL Server

- Hands on experience with containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools: Bamboo, BitBucket etc.

- Knowledge of Authentication Security: SAML, SSO, OAuth
