The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team on either a permanent part-time or full-time basis (30–38 hours per week).
This role is available across 4–5 days per week, Monday to Friday, with a shared Saturday roster (8:30 am – 1:00 pm). Weekday shifts are either 8:00 am – 4:00 pm or 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
As a Veterinary Nurse at West Brunswick Veterinary Clinic, you'll play an integral role in supporting our veterinarians and delivering exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with consultations and nurse consults
- Surgical and anaesthetic nursing
- Patient admissions, treatments and hospital care
- Assisting with diagnostic procedures and medical workups
- Client education and communication
- Providing outstanding customer service and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic
About You
We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
To be successful, you will have:
- A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
- Approximately 3–5 years' experience as a qualified Veterinary Nurse
- Strong surgical, anaesthetic, treatment and hospital nursing skills
- A sound understanding of veterinary nursing procedures and patient care
- Experience across all areas of general practice, including reception, surgical nursing, orthopaedics and inpatient care
- Excellent organisational skills with robust attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues
- A compassionate, patient-focused approach and genuine commitment to animal welfare
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive team culture
