Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

Salary range: $139,951 to $151,949 p.a. (NG7).
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading.
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available.

About your opportunity:
As a Public Health Nurse,



you'll play a key role in protecting the health of North Queensland communities within the THHS region. You'll use your clinical expertise to respond to public health risks, deliver prevention and health promotion initiatives, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to improve health outcomes.

This includes surveillance, investigation and management of notifiable conditions or conditions of public health importance, including a strong focus on the needs of disadvantaged and Indigenous communities, under the guidance of the Public Health Medical Officer, Communicable Disease Control, Townsville Public Health Unit, Townsville.

Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent) and proof of registration (AHPRA).
Authorisation as an Immunisation Program Nurse (IPN) to practice under the provisions of the Health (Drugs and Poisons) Regulation 2021.
Highly Desirable: Indigenous status and/or experience in discrete Indigenous communities will be an advantage.
Possession of a Class C driver's licence.
Travel may be required.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease risk role.
