The Role

This role involves one-on-one tutoring with high school students (Years 7–12), with a focus on English Advanced and Mathematics Advanced. If you can also teach Business Studies, Legal Studies, or Economics, that’s a wonderful bonus (but not required).

We take care of all admin, including scheduling, communication, and billing, so you can focus on what you do best: teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct tutoring sessions one-on-one in English and Mathematics (Years 7–12)
- Develop personalized learning plans to meet each student’s individual needs.
- Monitor and report on students’ progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain up-to-date records of sessions, progress reports, and any other required documentation.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers,



and other stakeholders to support students’ learning.
- Implement engaging and effective teaching methods to maintain student interest and facilitate learning.
- Provide feedback and guidance to students to enhance their learning and development.
- Be available for sessions during agreed-upon hours, which may include after-school hours and weekends.

- A passion for teaching and genuine interest in helping students succeed
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms
- Patience and empathy, especially when dealing with struggling students
- Adaptability to different learning styles and ability to tailor teaching methods accordingly
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Strong time management skills and reliability in maintaining a consistent tutoring schedule

What We’re Looking For (Non-Negotiables)

- Studying a Bachelors degree in English, Education, Maths, Engineering, Commerce, Law, or a related field
- Minimum ATAR of 95 and Band 6 results in the subjects you wish to tutor




- Strong communication skills, reliability, and professionalism
- Warm, encouraging, and patient approach to working with students
- Ability to explain complex ideas clearly and simply
- A genuine desire to help students grow in both skill and confidence

Please note: Applicants must have completed the NSW HSC. We cannot accept applicants who completed high school interstate or overseas.
