AIRCONDITIONING MECHANIC
Salary Range: $79,000 - $85,000 + Superannuation

The Role

The position requires the Airconditioning Mechanic to be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems across residential and industrial settings. The role calls for a professional, committed to high quality workmanship and dedicated to upholding the company’s reputation for integrity and excellent service. This is a permanent full time position, for 38 hours per week.

Tasks include:

- Install, maintain, and repair various air conditioning systems, including split, multi, VRF, and ducted systems.
- Carrying out installations of HVAC systems by reviewing drawings and specifications to satisfy the scope of work.
- Drill holes, mount brackets, and cut, bend, and thread pipes.
- Run copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, oil, and water
- removing and filling gas and fluid using vacuum pumps,
- Test-run systems to check parts and make necessary adjustments.




- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure system efficiency and longevity
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations
- Provide expert advice to clients on system upgrades and energy−effective solutions
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Stay updated with the latest developments in HVAC technology and techniques.

Qualifications and other requirements

- Certificate II in split Air Conditioning and heat pump system or equivalent trade qualification
- At least 2 year of relevant experience
- High organization and management skills
- Able to understand basic calculations
- Ability to undertake manual work
- Ability to use tools and machinery
- Attention to detail and accuracy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $79,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
