- Interpret building plans, drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut and assemble materials with precision
- Plan work to meet timelines and project requirements
- Construct, install, and repair frameworks, flooring systems, walls, roofs, and partitions
- Assemble and install building components using timber and other materials
- Carry out general carpentry tasks across residential and commercial projects
- Assist in the construction, erection, and dismantling of formwork for concrete structures
- Set out and erect timber and lightweight steel wall, floor and roof framing systems
- Install structural bracing and support systems in accordance with engineering specifications
- Work on Suspended formwork systems (e.g. decks, beams, elevated slabs)
- Work on on-ground (level/slab-on-grade) formwork, including footings and edge forms
- Interpret drawings and follow specifications for formwork layout
- Support accurate alignment, bracing, and structural integrity of formwork
- Coordinate with concreters and steel fixers during placement activities
- Install windows, doors, cabinetry, and internal/external fittings
- Deliver quality finishes in accordance with company standards
- Perform repair, refurbishment, and alteration work
- Maintain structural and non-structural building elements
- Follow all WHS policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with Australian Building Codes and standards
- Use tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades
- Assist and mentor apprentices when required
