Warmoll Farming Pty Ltd is currently seeking an experienced and capable Diesel Mechanic for our Breeza Operations.
As a Diesel Mechanic you will repair, maintain and service agricultural equipment, including trucks, light vehicles, tractors, earth moving equipment and mobile plant.
You will be required to work over-time hours and weekends in this role and you will be paid extra for any additional hours.
Key responsibilities
Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
Diagnose and repair transmission systems both manual and automatic.
Diagnose and repair powertrain systems including clutches.
Diagnose and repair air braking systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical systems. This includes testing batteries and jump starting.
Diagnose and repair cooling systems.
Diagnose and repair steering systems.
Diagnose and repair final drive systems.
Diagnose, repair, installation, and removal engines.
Diagnose and repair instruments and warning systems.
Select and use the correct bearings, seals, and gaskets.
Attend breakdowns of farm equipment on a call out basis.
Interpret manuals and software to identify parts required.
Skills and qualifications applicable to the role
Certificate III with two years on the job training, Certificate IV or three years relevant industry experience.
Ability to maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
Communicate with managers and external stakeholders to order replacement parts.
Ability to maintain a clean and tidy working workplace. Following environmental and sustainability best practices for a workshop.
Maintain all tools and equipment.
Comply with all documented work health and safety policies, procedures and verbal instructions issued by managers and supervisors.
