We are seeking a Payroll Advisor to join our office-based team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a varied role that combines payroll delivery with project involvement across People & Culture.
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Taking a lead role in processing payroll in an accurate and timely manner to meet payroll deadlines in line with relevant P&C; standards and procedures
- Supporting the migration and implementation of our new payroll system
- Ensuring payroll compliance with legislative and organisational requirements
- Supporting the employee life cycle, including onboarding, probation/performance processes, and offboarding
- Providing broader People and Culture support to the P&C; team, including but not limited to, administration of projects
Skills & Qualifications required to be successful in this role:
- Relevant qualification in payroll administration or other applicable certification
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a payroll role
- Proven ability to interpret legislation, including the Fair Work Act, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and company policies and procedures
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and high-quality outcomes
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Experience with the Definitiv payroll system (highly desirable).
