About Us: The Southern Vet Group consists of three contemporary, well-equipped clinics, including two ASAV-accredited hospitals, located in the beautiful southern suburbs of Adelaide. Our clinics support a high caseload of medical, surgical, emergency and rehabilitation cases, as well as the Adelaide Koala and Wildlife Centre. With a large, experienced team—many of whom have been with us for 5-10+ years—we pride ourselves on teamwork, learning, and delivering top-tier veterinary care.

What we can offer you:

- Base salary $80-130k (commensurate with experience and skill set) + Super
- Paid for every minute you work. Included 1.5-2 hours per shift for case management, phone calls, and write-ups, plus a paid 40-minute meal break
- Overtime & Professional Fees: Paid in the event of emergency surgery after closing because your time and expertise are valued!
- Amazing work life balance. We know that you work to live, not live to work and that’s how it should be. We run a 9-day work fortnight. An example of what a week’s roster may look like:
- 1x surgery shift (10 hours)
- 1x consult shift (8 hours)
- 2x afternoon shifts (7.5 hours) that don’t start until 2:30pm giving you extra personal time in the mornings 1
- 1x weekend day shift (10 hours) a fortnight
- A standard fortnight is 76 hours.

- Skilled nursing team to support your day-to-day workflow

What you need:

- DVM or equivalent veterinary qualification
- Eligibility for Veterinary Surgeons Board of SA registration
- Commitment to providing gold-standard animal care
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building strong client relationships
- Passion for growing your medical, surgical, and diagnostic imaging expertise
