About you
The Workforce Officer is a key role responsible for managing and enhancing the workforce within Maple Community Services. This position involves overseeing Support Workers from roster management, training, and development to ensure that the workforce is well-equipped to provide high-quality services to participants. The Workforce Officer plays a central role in aligning staffing levels and skills with the needs of clients, while also ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Understanding of the NDIS and Disability Industry (preferred)
- Experience in rostering
- Driver’s License with access to a car
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong analytical and decision making skills
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong project management and multitasking skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and guide individuals and teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, can accomplish tasks without direction.
As the Workforce Officer, your role will include but not be limited to the following
- Possesses a strong foundational knowledge of the company’s Rostering Guidelines.
- Adhere to SCAHDS award.
- Oversee the general management of rosters for both community participation and SIL support.
- Cultivates strong relationships with participants and support workers by recognising their preferences and needs.
- Allocate new staff to Team Leader clusters and monitor roster developments.
- Ensure shifts are rostered seven days in advance, work toward achieving two-week roster advance.
- Adheres to rostering targets and ensures efficient scheduling of support services.
- Provide support workers with necessary information to guarantee smooth execution of supports delivered.
- Ensure participant roster change requests are documented and relevant parties notified.
- Analyse workforce data to identify trends, areas for improvement and opportunities for optimisation.
- Take end to end lead on worker recruitment
- Assist in the induction process of new support workers.
- Ensure new support workers receive continuous training beyond onboarding.
- Support ongoing professional development to enhance staff skills. This includes coordinating workshops and allocation courses.
- Provides clear direction and guidance to support workers, ensuring everyone is aligned with organisational goals.
- Effectively manages support worker tasks, progress, conflicts, and performance, encouraging growth and development.
- Conducts performance evaluations and identifies opportunities for training and skill enhancement among team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
