YHA Brisbane City is a 380-bed property located in the heart of the city providing comfortable and affordable accommodation and experiences to groups and independent travellers from around the world. This modern property offers a range of private and co-living accommodation rooms as well as an onsite cafe, rooftop pool and bar, co-working space, and wellness centre. Our crew of approximately 50 passionate and hardworking team members pride themselves on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for guests and each other.
What you'll get to do
The Maintenance Supervisor works closely with the Property Manager and our National Facilities team to ensure our properties are maintained and presented in the highest possible standard. This position will see you;
- Performing thorough weekly building and facility inspections (or daily inspections as requested)
- Liaising with the Property Manager or Building & Facilities Manager to initiate and schedule project works, preventative maintenance,
and corrective maintenance
- Maintaining the swimming pool, including testing and dosing chemical levels (where applicable)
- Completing and maintaining inspection, safety, and maintenance reports and records
This will suit someone with experience in maintenance, facilities, retail or commercial property management style environments. You'll have a broad handyperson (handyman / handywoman) / maintenance knowledge and skill set, with the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team whilst supervising a part time Maintenance Officer. The person in this role will be on their feet most of the day so physical fitness is a must!
This position is full time and can be Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday.
