An exciting opportunity exists for motivated Registered Nurse to join the dynamic multi-disciplinary Intensive Care team at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital where you will be a part of a high-performing multidisciplinary team delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred critical care.

What you’ll be doing: As an Registered Nurse applicant you will be working in our Intensive Care unit, delivering high-quality, evidence based critical care in accordance with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Standards of Practice. Apply advanced clinical skills, critical thinking and sound judgement in complex patient situations. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans. Lead support and supervise nursing staff within the ICU environment. Engage in therapeutic and professional relationships that promote safe and responsive care.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
- A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- An understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the Registered Nurse.
