Summary

Our client, Mila Cold Logistics, delivers temperature-controlled freight services across Adelaide and regional customer locations, with a focus on safe, timely and reliable delivery within required delivery windows. They are seeking to add a Local Truck Driver to their team to complete refrigerated pickup and delivery runs in line with cold chain, heavy vehicle, WHS and company requirements.

The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Complete local pickup and delivery runs safely and within customer delivery windows.
- Transport chilled, frozen and temperature-sensitive freight while protecting product integrity.
- Complete pre-start checks and report vehicle, refrigeration or equipment issues promptly.
- Load, secure, verify and unload freight safely where required.
- Follow delivery instructions, site rules, dock procedures and proof-of-delivery processes.
- Keep records accurate and maintain a clean, safe and serviceable vehicle.

Compliance , Safety and Cold Chain Responsibilities

Work safely, protect freight and comply with heavy vehicle, CoR, WHS, food safety, customer site and company requirements.

Comply with speed, fatigue, loading, diary, scheduling, site safety and cold chain requirements, and report anything that may cause a breach.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

Licence, Qualification and Training Requirements

Hold and maintain the licences, training and fitness required for the vehicle, freight task and customer sites.

- Mandatory: Current MR, HR,



HC or MC licence as required, safe driving history, right to work, fatigue,
- load restraint, CoR awareness, site induction and drug and alcohol compliance.
- Desirable: Certificate II in Driving Operations preferred.
- Role-dependent: Forklift licence, site inductions, medical or fitness assessment, DG licence, refrigerated transport experience, electronic diary, telematics or POD system capability.

Experience, Skills and Behavioural Expectations

At least two years of relevant Eexperience in local delivery, metro distribution or refrigerated transport.

- Understands fatigue, load restraint, CoR, cold chain, site safety and basic compliance records.
- Follows instructions, communicates clearly and manages multi-drop runs reliably.
- Protects freight, equipment, customer property and the Mila brand.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

The role involves metro/regional driving, reversing, manual handling, dock work, cold environments, diverse weather, rostered shifts and frequent vehicle entry and exit. Reasonable adjustments will be considered where safe.

Performance and Record keeping Expectations

Deliver freight safely, on time, in full and within temperature range.

- Maintain heavy vehicle, fatigue, load restraint, WHS, site and cold chain compliance.
- Complete required records accurately and report issues promptly.
- Keep the vehicle, cabin, load area and equipment clean, secure and serviceable.
