We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bar and Gaming Supervisor (Poker Machines) to join our team at the Stuart Hotel in Katherine, Northern Territory. This is a full time salaried position with the opportunity to work in a busy bar and gaming venue (10 poker machines), 1 bar, and a fast paced Bottle shop.

The township of Katherine in the Northern Territory is a 3.5 hour drive south of Darwin.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of bar and gaming operations, ensuring excellent customer service, staff management, and compliance with relevant RSA, RSG, and licencing laws.

Key duties include:

- Venue Operations - Supervise daily bar and gaming floor operations, stock control and monitoring compliance with RSA, RSG and Licencing requirements.
- Staff Management - Lead, train, and supervise bar and gaming staff to ensure efficient and effective customer service.
- Cash handling and reconciliation - Managing daily takings, processing EFTPOS and cash transactions, including the reconciliation of tills.
- General Bar Duties - including service of drinks, managing customer inquiries, opening and closing the bar and gaming areas, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.




- Customer Service - providing good customer service, with the ability to manage customer concerns/complaints, incidents, and queries to a high standard.

To be considered for this role candidates must have:

- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
- Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) Certificate
- NT Gaming Machine Managers Licence & Police Check
- Experience in a Bar and Gaming (Poker Machine) supervisory role
- Excellent customer service, communication, and team leadership skills
- Availability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Be physically fit with the ability to work outside in the NT Climate, which can be very hot in the Wet Season.

Desirable attributes:

- A current Driver's licence and own vehicle is highly desirable.
